Fullerton St, Chicago, IL (corner of Orchard & Fullerton). $4.00 Validated Parking available at CMH or street parking. If you park in Children's parking garage on Lincoln Ave., make sure you stop by the front desk to get your parking validated; tell them you're there for the Mended Little Hearts meeting. Please contact our Group Coordinator Jaime Olsen with questions, and check back frequently for meeting updates!
-- September 26th, 2008 is the date for Chicago's annual Heart Walk and
September 27th is the Harper College walk in Palatine. We would like
to encourage EVERYONE to participate so that Mended Little Hearts of CMH has a huge presence at both walks. Stay tuned for further details!

Our August 2008 monthly meeting was a picnic in Lincoln Park, Chicago, in the shadow of the Conservatory greenhouse and next door to Lincoln Park Zoo. Sandy from Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago, lined us up with a Children's mini-bus. The kids had a great time playing, and us parents and family enjoyed some time to unwind and relax in the cool beauty of the gardens.

As many of you know, Dr. Constantine Mavroudis has decided to bring his immense talent and expertise to Cleveland Ohio's Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital , where he will be the Chair of Congenital &
Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery .
We are all forever grateful for all he has done for our children and our families, during his tenure at Children's Memorial Hospital, and wish him Bon Voyage in this next phase of his professional life.

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are putting together our 3-D mobiles that some of our kids have colored and sending them down to Children's next week for all the heart kids having surgery. If anyone is interested in helping please call me at 847-544-1807. Jaime Olsen.

 Amy Lanning was our featured speaker at our Mended Little Hearts meeting on June 18, 2008, at Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago. There were about 30 people in attendance, inluding steady members, new members, family and friends.

This is the "CarePackage" our group gives to families with children admitted to Children's Memorial Hospital Cardiology.
It costs approx. $30.00 per bag to buy. We would love to have people:
- "Sponsor" a bag for someone admitted
- Make a general donation to our group for the bags or
- Provide us with products to put in the bags.
